MAP Posts 11% Surge In Net Revenue For 9M 2019

Jakarta, 31st October 2019 – PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAP), the leading lifestyle retailer in Indonesia today announced its financial results for 9-month 2019. The Company managed to record 11% growth in net revenue to Rp 15.4 trillion – from the Rp 13.8 trillion posted during the corresponding period in 2018. Operating profit jumped 26% from Rp 1.06 trillion to Rp 1.3 trillion while net profit surged 38% to Rp 813 billion (normalized net income of Rp846 billion) – from the Rp 588 billion posted in 9M 2018.

Commenting on the results, Fetty Kwartati, Head of Corporate Communication of MAP said, “We are pleased with the margin improvement posted during the 9-month period, driven by the strengthening of Rupiah, better  merchandising process, data analytics and inventory profiling. Looking ahead, we are cautiously optimistic as we accelerate our focus on key growth engines including specialty stores, F&B and cosmetics, health & beauty.

As at September 2019, MAP added 66,361 sqm (148 stores) to its retail network – bringing its total retail network to 850,876 sqm (2,243 stores).
